BPC-157Matrix & Growth-Factor Peptides

Overview

BPC-157 is a synthetic pentadecapeptide with the sequence Gly-Glu-Pro-Pro-Pro-Gly-Lys-Pro-Ala-Asp-Asp-Ala-Gly-Leu-Val, corresponding to a partial sequence of the gastric protein BPC. Its molecular weight is approximately 1419 Da. The molecule contains no cysteine residues and therefore forms no intramolecular disulfide bridges. The material is a white lyophilized powder that is soluble in water.

In vitro, the peptide interacts with VEGFR2 signaling and with FAK-paxillin adhesion complexes, and increases growth hormone receptor expression in cultured fibroblasts. Supplied as 10 mg of lyophilized peptide per vial.

Mechanism of Action

In cultured cells, BPC-157 interacts with VEGFR2 signaling and with FAK-paxillin adhesion complexes. Reported in vitro activity also includes increased growth hormone receptor expression in fibroblasts.
