IpamorelinMatrix & Growth-Factor Peptides

Overview

Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide composed of aminoisobutyric acid, histidine, D-2-naphthylalanine, D-phenylalanine, and lysine, terminating in a C-terminal amide. Three of its five residues are non-proteinogenic or D-configured, a composition associated with resistance to exopeptidase cleavage.

It belongs to the growth hormone secretagogue chemical class and acts in vitro as an agonist at GHSR-1a, the Gq-coupled ghrelin receptor, where binding triggers phospholipase C activation and intracellular calcium mobilization. Ipamorelin is supplied as a lyophilized powder in a 10 mg vial.

Mechanism of Action

Ipamorelin acts as a selective agonist at GHSR-1a, the Gq-protein-coupled ghrelin receptor; receptor binding activates phospholipase C and mobilizes intracellular calcium in cultured pituitary cells.
