Thymosin Alpha-1Immune & Cellular Peptides

Overview

Thymosin Alpha-1 is a 28-residue peptide with an N-terminally acetylated serine, corresponding to the N-terminal fragment of prothymosin alpha secreted by thymic epithelial cells. Its acidic residue composition gives the molecule a low isoelectric point. The material is supplied as a lyophilized white powder.

In cultured dendritic cells and macrophages the peptide binds Toll-like receptors 3, 4, and 9, with downstream IRF3-dependent interferon signaling and NF-kB pathway activation described in vitro. Each vial contains 10 mg.

Mechanism of Action

Binds Toll-like receptors 3, 4, and 9 on cultured dendritic cells and macrophages, with downstream IRF3-dependent interferon signaling and NF-kB pathway activation observed in vitro.
